Rhinoplasty, or surgery of the nose, can enhance your profile. The surgery can even out the bridge of your nose, the symmetry of your nose, or the tip of your nose, among other benefits. Candidates for rhinoplasty include people who want to realistically improve their natural appearance, or those who have suffered facial trauma.

Dr. Oren Lerman: Rhinoplasty, or surgery of the nose, can improve facial
appearance. It can improve the profile of your nose. It can improve the
proportion of your nose to the surrounding face, and it can address
specific areas that you're concerned about. Such as, a bulbous tip, or a
drooping tip, or even an upturned tip, or the bridge of the nose, either
because it's too wide or because you have a hump, or a concavity on the
bridge of the nose. You're a good candidate for rhinoplasty if you are
over the age of 13, and facial growth has stopped, and if you have specific
concerns, but realistic expectations, for what can be achieved. If you
overall just want to improve your self-confidence or the appearance of your
nose and face.
Rhinoplasty can also improve breathing problems if you have a deformity of
the nose that's causing difficulty with breathing. Sometimes rhinoplasty
is necessary after trauma, because you've injured yourself, or because the
shape of your nose has changed because you got into an accident.
Rhinoplasty is a very individualized process. You should do it to fulfill
your goals, not to live up to somebody else's desires, or to try to fit
into some type of ideal image.
