DIEP Flap (natural tissue) Breast Reconstruction: Case 2 - DIEP flap & nipple reconstruction after double mastectomy
Description
This patient had a double mastectomy and immediate reconstruction with DIEP flap natural tissue from the belly. She has a scarless appearance because the incision is hidden behind the nipple areola. She had a second stage revision breast reconstruction or 'part two' a few months later to give her the finished appearance. We performed nipple reconstruction at that time and fixed any asymmetries to achieve the optimal aesthetic result.
